INSTALLATION
1. Insert disk in the drive. The CD has an auto install program, which will run and install the program.
In case this does not happen, take the following steps
Go to ‘My computers’ and click on CD drive
Click on ‘Install.exe’ and go thru the installation process carefully

HOW TO USE THE CD
Once the program is installed, you must first click on the ‘Edit User Profile’ link (top left hand corner) and carefully fill in the details asked for.
This is the profile that will be sent to the consultants you shortlist…
Remember:
- Type in all the data
- Do NOT try to cut & paste your full resume – this is only a resume summary.
- When you fill in details of your current and expected salary details, fill in the full amount without the use of commas. For example, if your annual salary is Rs.400000, type in 400000. DO NOT type 4,00,000 or 4 lacs. The program will not accept it.
Once you have filled in your profile, press the save button.
you are ready to use the shortlisting function
First, check that your internet is on.
Click on ‘search’ in the top right hand corner
In the window that opens, first select the criteria you want to use to shortlist consultants. The program allows you to select 5 criteria at a time.
Next, select the city in which you want to locate the consultant. The program allows you to select 1 city at a time.
In case you want consultants specializing in either freshers or International, select the appropriate box.
Finally, click on the search button.
This will give you the following details
- Name of Consultant
- Detailed specialization
- Yes / No for both Freshers and International
- Page number
- Remarks
- Phone numbers of consultants
The page number is the page in the directory on which the complete contact details of the consultant are printed.
Next to this, there may be a red and blue icon. This consultant wants you to apply thru their website. Ensure your internet is on, and click on this icon. This will take you to the consultants website.
The remarks column may contain instructions on how to apply to that particular consultant. They may want you to call up, in which case this will be mentioned.
In the broad selection the computer gives you, please study the detailed specialization field, and then click on the check box against the name of the consultant you want to send your profile to.
Please note that
You can select upto 5 consultants at a time.
In case you are looking for entry level jobs, please check the box marked fresher to confirm whether the consultant handles these jobs
In case you are looking for international jobs, please check the box marked International to confirm whether the consultant handles overseas assignments
Once you have made your selection, go to the bottom right of the page and click on the link marked ‘Proceed to email’
A new page will open, with your user profile in the format it will be sent to the consultants. Please check that the user profile is as you have typed and correct
Click on ‘send email’.
Again, please remember the following
1. Some consultants want you to call them up and take their email ID over the phone.
You have to Check the remarks column. If it says ‘Call to get relevant email ID’, check the page number column. This will give you the page number in the main directory on which that consultant is listed. Open the book, go to that page number, and call up the consultant
In this case, you have to cut and paste your resume in your own email program and send your resume independent of the Jobnet mailer program
2. Some consultants want you to submit your resume through their website.
The remarks column will state ‘Apply through website’ or ‘submit resume through website’.
In this case, click on the blue and red icon before the remarks column. This will lead you to the website of that consultant, where you can submit your resume as per your requirement
