The current vacancy is in CAD; the CAD engineers are actively involved in design and development activities in various subsystems such as chassis, BIW (Body In White), powertrain, suspension and interiors as well as exterior for top end luxury Cars, Vans as well as Trucks. The CAD team is fully integrated in the international R&D network of the parent company and uses the standard tools and processes followed by them .
The team works on the next generation products in different phases of the development scheme (concept, development and series). The challenges encompass weight reduction, alternative drive trains, design to cost, etc
Job Responsibilities
The job responsibilities for the current position are Layout and Packaging study of Engine.
* Creating Layout drawing for production
* Create concept and detailed layouts of Vehicle/ Engine
* Conduct feasibility study of Engine/Transmission model
The candidate
Academically sound and inclined towards R&D, with a passion for automotives. International exposure of 5-8 years to relevant research in Germany or USA would be a decided advantage, as would be knowledge of German. We hope to attract the best talent internationally, especially Indians wishing to come back to India at a comfortable pay package.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong automotive engineering background, having worked with OEM (Truck Background). He/ she should have good communication skills
Education /Qualification
BE or Masters in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Relevant Experience Required
5 to 8 years of experience
Overall 5+ years of domain experience in Vehicle Packaging (Engine/Transmission)
3+ years of experience in CATIA V5
OEM experience with Truck background
Good power train packaging experience & vehicle packaging preferred.
DFM, DFS, DFMA knowledge –Preferred.
Strong automotive engineering background – Must
Skill Requirements
Evaluate multiple design concepts for packaging feasibility using Preferably CATIA V5
