Our client is an ITALIAN MNC engaged into Mfg. and Marketing of confectionary products. They have a turnover of around 400 crores ( Approx).They require
Sr Controller – Legal
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1.To bring to table legal expertise, in civil, criminal, company law, food laws, intellectual property laws, etc.
2.To protect the company and its management from various civil and criminal cases filed by Government enforcement agencies,
particularly in matters related to Prevention of Food Adulteration Act.
3.To safeguard the interest of the company in any civil / criminal action initiated against the company by some other company
or consumer(s) / consumer associations.
4.To do legal research & in-depth discussions with lawyers.
5.To initiate civil ( order 37 of Civil Procedure Code / Criminal Action (138 of Negotiable Instrument Act ) against the
defaulting distributor.
6.To formulate policies and action plans to preempt / prevent litigation, wherever so possible in the interest of the
company and to initiate healthy practices enabling to insulate company management.
7.To develop and inculcate fine interpretation skills amongst colleagues.
8.To plan and prepare financial and operational budgets concerning the department.
9.To critically examine different documents, agreements, contracts, deeds etc.
10.To represent, wherever so required, the company at different for a – legal, quasi-legal or others.
11.To participate at the meetings of different chambers of commerce and place views of the company clearly and concisely.
