District Operations Manager
We are looking at an MBA with about 3-5 years of experience in managing a cluster of 10-15 stores in a region. Should have managed multi geography before, should have good operational experience and should be an outstanding people manager.
He/she will be responsible for:
• Delivering and driving profitable neighborhood stores in the given geography while maintaining high customer Service experience and adhering to processes, policies and guidelines.
• Top line sales: Drive top line sales through ensuring Up Selling, Cross Selling, Repeat buying, Store Hygiene, ensuring competition benchmarking, city level store promotions planning etc. Approximate size (10 stores assumption) – USD 7 Million (INR 35 Crs.)
• Opex: Guide and Monitor the team to ensure minimum Operational expenses through Mitigation of shrink areas, Electricity costs, carry bag costs, generator cost, equipment consumables cost etc.
• Customer Service: Delivering the desired Customer Service standards at stores through Training, Coaching, measuring the CS standards and minimizing the gaps, driving strong CS culture through continuous reinforcement. Giving inputs on customer service culture and Standard Operating procedures around it.
• Process deliverables: Ensure effective process deployment in order to have operational efficiency and to deliver desired look, feel and customer experience in the stores. Identify gaps through regular monitoring and analysis. Subsequently take strategic actions / approach to minimize gaps.(continuous reinforcement , motivation)
• In stocks : Ensure high in stock levels through effective inventory management, and monitor in store replenishment system and processes are followed.
• Merchandising : Provide inputs to respective Regional Ops Head on merchandise mix, assortment, adjacencies, promotions, display. Identifying training needs on efficient merchandising for associates. Ensure proper merchandise handling and mitigate shrink areas.
• Leadership : Motivate, develop and build teams inculcating co. values and culture. Performance appraisal, Training, Goal setting, Succession planning. Review and drive people processes in the stores. Approximate team size (10 stores assumption) – 150 – 200 people
• Stores Promotion: Lead and monitor the execution of Store Promotional activities as per the plan.
• Communication: Give inputs and ideas to help build robust In store and Inter store communication channels. Educate the team and ensure the process deployment around it.
• Business Performance Analysis: Frequent and thorough analysis of sales and marketing data to identify sales trends, performance gaps, improvement areas, areas which need interventions and accordingly make strategic action plans.

Compensation: Rupees 8,00,000 – 9,00,000
