The candidate
Academically sound and inclined towards R&D, with a passion for automotives. International exposure of 2-6 years to relevant research in Japan would be a decided advantage, as would be knowledge of Japanese. We hope to attract the best talent internationally, especially Indians wishing to come back to India at a comfortable pay package.
IIT graduates with very good merit, strong basics, analytical and hardworking abilities would also be added advantage. We are looking for a candidate with candidates with proven past experience in embedded software development.
He/She shall have worked in controller model development in Matlab/ Simulink, Stateflow and S-Functions (Programming ability- logical thinking)
Education & Training
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Mechanical (most preferred) or Automotive or Electrical Engineering
Relevant Experience Required
2 to 6 years in powertrain software development and preferably HEV software development
Skills
Experience in controller model development in Matlab/ Simulink, Stateflow and S-Functions is necessary (Programming ability- logical thinking)
Experience in powertrain, transmission, brakes or HEV – software development, ECU control flow in various drive conditions of the vehicle are necessary
Experience/ Knowledge of Trucks and Bus vehicle technology, system level behavior etc. is preferred (ABS, ESP, ASR)
Experience in vehicle simulation/ testing for performance studies, dynamics etc is preferred (Multi Body Simulation- ADAMS, AVL Cruise)
Knowledge and experience of diagnostics and fail safe testing are preferred
Japanese language skills are preferred
Job Responsibilities
HEV power management – under various vehicle driving conditions to improve the vehicle performance in terms of fuel economy, safety and comfort
Job requires a thorough and exhaustive detailing of requirements, development of extensive test cases and imaginatively covering all possible drive and fail safe scenarios and exhaustive testing of the control software
Understanding of the customer requirements with respect to control software requirements and further developing the requirements based on the domain knowledge
Development of detailed and complete test scenarios, test cases and exhaustive testing of the control software
Development of the software in Simulink/ stateflow and s-functions
Could also include, simulation and analysis of the vehicle (HEV) in various drive modes and evaluating the vehicle performance
Travel to customer location for few months
