General Manager / Head of Human Resources Management
REPORTS TO: Primary- Unit Head Secondary-Head Corp.HR
Our client is in tubular market. It is one of the producers of SAW pipes, which is widely used in
the energy sector for the transportation of oil and gas.
JOB PURPOSE:
The Head of Human Resources Management will be responsible for -
Leading the total Team at its Green field site starting from Time Office, Security, transport Cell,
guest house and related services in delivering a Human Resources service for the Organization to
defined service standards, time-scales and budgets.
Liaise with local / Govt. authorities in connection to regulatory works. Advising, guiding and
supporting the Management Team in adopting best HR Practices across the Organisation and ensure
policies, procedures and practices conform with current legislation.
Developing and implementing successful Human Resources strategies that support the long term growth
and transformation of the organisation
Contributing to the wider development and overall success of the Organization through proactive
working with the Management Team to develop strong leadership as well as commercial and financial
awareness.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
HR Strategy & Budgeting
Developing the overall HR Strategy for the organization in line with business needs along with
Management Team.
Develop the manpower plan and budget for the organization and facilitating the Workforce Plan
implementation.
Ensuring right manning and facilitate hiring.
Organizational Design
Support the business in creating the organization design in line with emerging business priorities.
Supporting the leadership team in creating / nurturing the desired culture and ensuring that the
values of the organization are upheld at all times.
Driving performance, accountability & alignment with business imperatives.
Talent Management
Supporting the Management Team in building leadership pipe-line.
Integrating leadership identification, development and deployment process across the organization.
Attracting and inducting high quality talent into the organization.
Building the talent pipeline for critical positions by developing robust Career & Succession
planning mechanisms
Employee Engagement & Communication
Engaging with the leadership team of the organization and managing stakeholder expectations
Proactive HR sensing and addressing through various interventions and programs in collaboration
with the Management team
Design and build employee engagement / retention initiatives including recognition, celebrations
and non-monetary reward schemes in the organization and drive in the same.
Facilitation of Learning and Development
Design L&D interventions critical to business success and implement / facilitate implementation.
Support General Managers and Functional Heads in setting learning and development plans and budgets.
Arrange training provision, monitor effectiveness and take action as appropriate.
Analyse training data and requirements and provide management information with recommendations.
HRMIS
Provide regular and reliable reports to the Management Team on various aspects of employees so as
to enable proper and fair decision making.
PERSON PROFILE
Post-graduate with HR specialization from one of the reputed institutions.
15-18 years successful track record of leading HR Operations in preferably an organization related
to Steel manufacturing , experience in Mining operations is must. Candidate is expected to possess
full knowledge about Iron Ore and Mining from compliance point . He should posses hands on
experience regarding pellatization and beneficiation operations
