Manager Commercial (Import Logistics)
We are looking for a Graduate, Preferably Engineer/MBA from FMCG/Consumer Durables industry/ people who handled Projects with min 7 yrs of experience in Import Logistics. Will report to Senior Manager – Supply Chain
The person should have good understanding of establishing processes for the acceptance and vetting requirements from user departments.
Should be well versed with local language and willing to travel within the region as required. Must have good negotiation skills
Job Responsibilities:
Collaborates with User Departments to:
• Understand user Requirements from User Department as per the defined process
• Vet user requirements on feasibility and usability.
• Advice User group in redefining user requirements based on feasibility.
Import Logistics:
• Identify the potential freight forwarders
• Coordination with freight forwarders for timely pickup and delivery of import consignments
• Tracking of import consignments at various levels
• Dealing with import clearing agents for custom clearance
Vendor Identification and Negotiation:
• Identifies potential vendors based on requirements as given by the users
• Preparation of purchase Orders
• Purchase planning of imported material
• Prepares cost comparatives and cost analyses
Warehouse Management:
• Understanding warehousing processes and controls
• Coordination with 3PL
• Inventory Management
MIS and Reports:
• Data generation compilation of various Supply Chain reports
• Command on MS EXCEL
Location: Bangalore
Compensation: Rupees 7,00,000 – 10,00,000
