Jobs, however predictable, are like pregnancy – they always surprise you and have long term consequences.
Perhaps jobs too need to be viewed in the light of the mystical rather than the rational. Especially since most Indians consider it so. Maybe, someday, when in the future the gods will have their own optimized websites, Google will show that more prayers are received for good jobs and salaries than any others.
The Indian jobseeker is always a little lost. There are too many odds as compared to the ends, which is not statistically in anybody’s special favor. The job hunting processes boils down to either luck or right methodology.
Is there ever a right way that can never be wrong? That is the question that every professional asks, for which there is no answer.
And that is the root problem. Breadwinning is about war. That is when the bullets fly and even your PhD in trigonometry cannot help you calculate where the bullets will fly.
The only way to survive is to succeed.
To succeed is to ask – WHAT IS THE NEW WAY TODAY?
